Ms. Amanda Thomas

Amanda Cabaniss Thomas was a classroom instructor at Auburn High School in Auburn, Alabama for six years. She is currently taking a break from teaching to care for her growing family.

In the interest of creating more teachers dedicated to shaping students into critical thinking active citizens, Amanda is pleased to be part of the PIH network. She hopes that modeling these techniques will demonstrate the usefulness of persistent issues when creating challenging lessons and units in a classroom setting.

Amanda received her BS in Education in 1998 and her M.Ed. in General Social Science in 2002 from Auburn University.
